Kid-smith Zone

Who says blacksmithing is just for grown ups?

Kids love the spectacle of fire and the clanging and creating of steel and anvil. With so many little ones enjoying watching the action, the Festival introduced a special fire-free kids forging area in 2019. The Kidsmith Zone has been such a big hit and has since become a mainstay so in 2025 it's back bigger and better! For a small donation kids under twelve can hand forge a simple aluminum object or press a small medallion to wear home.

This year the Blacksmiths Festival welcomes Bella the Bookworm to the festival family. Twice daily in the Kidsmith Zone Bella will be hosting story time. Simple, old fashioned storytelling with her own quirky twists. Bella loves to tell stories and to share the world of imagination through books and games.
